Punch Discussion

The Punch discussion allows users to view and manage all task comment history in one place. It helps monitor live discussions happening inside each task and also lets users add new comments, update existing ones, and delete old comments directly from the discussion.

 Step 1: Add a Comment from the Kanban Board

First, click on the Kanban Board icon for the project.

Next click and open the task you want to update.

Now type your comments in the comments section and click Save and close the task.

Step 2: Accessing the Punch Discussion Dashboard

From the Kanban Board, click on the Punch discussion icon.

The Punch discussion will display all tasks along with their latest comment and its details.

Step 3: Add or Delete a Comment from the Punch Discussion

Now, click the task name for the task you want to update.

Next you can either delete an old comment or add a new comment in the comment box and click Update and the changes will be saved for that task.

Step 4: Verify the Comment Updates

Return back to the Kanban Board and open the same task.

You will see that the new comment has been updated inside the task’s comment section.

Conclusion:
The Punch Discussion feature centralizes all task discussions, helping users monitor, review, add, and delete task comments without needing to open each task individually, which improves collaboration, ensures clean comment history, and keeps task communication organized.
